MEGADETH "END GAME" REVIEW: LATEST ALBUM

Sound: 2 years after Megadeth's previous outing 'United Abominations' comes Endgame . A lot's been going on for the band in those 2 years, ex-Jag Panzer/Nevermore guitarist Chris Broderick has filled the slot of lead guitar replacing Glen Drover . Dave Mustaine has released his own serious of Signature Dean guitars, and of course started his own coffee brand online like every metal front man should. I'll do my best to compare everyone to Metallica as little as possible, so lets get this out of way. Death Magentic is absolutely shocking in compare to Endgame , every single Megadeth band member is more technically proficient. There's been much debate over Metallica lead singer and guitarist's voice decaying over the years, Dave Mustaine on the other hand has simply gotten better. Better than ever before, better than any other snarling ginger I can think of. His out-the-side-of-the-mouth style might not be for everyone, but you have to admit...

KREATOR : ENEMY OF GOD

Kreator is a thrash metal band from Essen, Germany. They originally started under the name Metal Militia, later Tyrant and Tormentor , finally Kreator. Starting their career in 1982, they played Thrash Metal with Venom influences. Their style of music is similar to their compatriots Destruction and Sodom , the other two big teutonic thrash metal bands from Germany. All three of these bands are often credited with helping create death metal . Kreator’s work has been consistently in the vein of pure thrash, with the exception of four albums (Renewal, Cause for Conflict, Outcast and Endorama) during the 1990s when they undertook serious experimentation. Incorporating Industrial, Gothic and Avant-Garde elements into their sound, the results were uneven in some fans’ and also critics’ eyes. Kreator formed as Tyrant in 1982 in Essen, Germany. The original lineup featured vocalist/guitarist Mille Petrozza ,who is from serbia, drummer Jurgen ‘Ventor’ Reil, and bassist Rob Fioretti. They so...

METALLICA AND H.P. LOVERCRAFT

THE CALL OF KTULU: It is an instrumental inspired by the story "The Call Of Cthulhu" by H.P. Lovecraft. The author is a big influence on Metallica. In the book, the story says that mentioning the name Cthulhu (Verbally or written) will bring him closer. That's why Metallica used the name "Ktulu" and not "Cthulhu" for fear of the beast. This song was written by James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Cliff Burton and original Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine. THE THING THAT SHOULD NOT BE: This is based on Cthulhu short stories by H.P. Lovecraft, an early-20th century American writer. These stories depict a certain scary monster dubbed by Lovecraft as the Cthulhu, which is the "Thing That Should Not Be. "The specific story by H.P. Lovecraft that this song references is The Shadow Over Innsmouth . Written in 1936, it was Lovecraft's only story that was released as a book when he was alive. His other short stories were published during his lifetime...
