Sweeping Lesson Part 1 (Conquer All Solo)

What is an arpeggio ?

The sounding of the notes of a chord in rapid succession instead of simultaneously.

In my time. The shapes themselves aren't that difficult, it's just the timing and smoothness that needs a bit of practice. Here few good chord shapes to arpeggiate are included for you to use as sweep picks, but you need to examine other chords more closely to find starting points and root notes. Then just try to arpeggiate them. Don't jump into the 5 or 6 string sweeps, begin with smaller shapes.

Few Hints:

1. Use a clean tone to get the volumes of each note right while you practice. Distortion/Overdrive will override your mistakes

2. Let your pick fall or drop onto the adjacent string and don't pick the strings with individual picking movements.
